Best Khao Mun Gai in Irvine

Poached chicken is certainly the least appetizing chicken, but MAN this place makes up for it in taste. Rooster & Rice is a Thai Khao Mun Gai restaurant which vehemently denies its relationship to the popular Chinese dish "Hainan Chicken". But it is very similar. I can see why people confuse them. I'm actually not sure the difference.

What to Order

Get the original! I like it with "all thighs" and sometimes with "extra thighs". But here's the secret — get the Scallion sauce. Get EXTRA Scallion sauce. This is not optional!
